Laura Bratton Sterling, Licensed Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbalist
Laura began her studies at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN where she earned a BA in physics in 1997. She then spent the next four years living in South Korea studying Korean language & culture and teaching English. Although exposed to Oriental Medicine, it wasn’t until moving to Seattle in 2002 that she first became interested in acupuncture. She found no relief for migraines until she began acupuncture treatments. Being newly inspired by this modality of healing, she completed a graduate program at Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA where she was trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine including Chinese Acupuncture techniques & Chinese Herbal Medicine. While at Bastyr, she completed several internships including shifts at Harborview Medical Center treating patients with HIV, Aids, Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia and shifts at Evergreen Treatment Center treating patients with opioid addiction. She also completed an Externship at Shanghai University of Traditional Medicine. She is licensed in the state of Washington and certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine. She is a trained Detox Specialist.
Laura has worked in multi-discipline Health Clinics along side Naturopaths, Chiropractors, Nurse practitioners, Massage therapists and other Acupuncturists. She was voted best acupuncturist in The Best of North Kitsap for 2014 and a finalist for Best Acupuncturist in 2013.
Laura enjoys spending time with her family and friends, eating good food, cooking, playing music, gardening, biking, reading, hiking, camping, fly-fishing, traveling, yoga, and studying almost anything, but especially languages and different cultures.
